Why won’t my refrigerator or freezer stay cold?
My refrigerator is GE. The refrigertor or freezer isn’t as cold as it used to be. When it stopped staying as cold, the ice maker stopped making ice too. I pulled it away from the wall a little, and it seemed like it was getting colder and then stopped. I would like to be able to just go to an Appliance store and buy a part for it instead of calling someone out..of course. Any help would be appreciative. Thank you in advance.

I had a fan go out on my 3yr. old fridge. It was still cool/cold but, the freezer was more like a fridge. It was too warm for ice at the top but, the stuff on the bottom was frozen solid.
The warranty people suck. So, i bought one and installed it myself. It’s easy.
Also,check around the pump, fans and, condenser for dust/dirt. If the refrigerant can’t dissipate the heat removed it will not cool efficiently.
They actually make a long flexible brush to clean the coils and fins. Cheap and works good.
