I have a mobile home and need to replace my air conditing/heating system?

I have been told I need a special type of unit because it is a mobile home. What I have now is a package gas unit. Something about static? I do not understand. Will someone tell me the truth as to what I need? It is a 14′x80′ mobile home. Thank you!

Look on the Name tag on the old unit get the model # and serial # as well as the Brand. Call a local A/C repairman and ask him for a replacement estimate. He might even come and take a look for nothing, if he thinks he may get to replace it. He can also tell you the type and size.
